Today I had the delightful pleasure of seeing the oldest known Greek fragment of a New Testament manuscript. Dated 125AD, P52/P457 is a fragment of John 18:31-33, 33-37. I also got to see P458, a 200BC Greek manuscript of Deuteronomy 23-28.John Ryland's Library in Manchester, (U.K.) is currently running an exhibition: The Sword and the Book: A History of the Bible in English. Christie Gallery, 30 August 2007 - 13 January 2008.
Many older Bible versions are on
display from Wycliffe, Tyndale, Jerome, Luther, Erasmus, Coverdale, Geneva, 1611 King James, Bishops, Matthews, Geneva, and Foxes Book of Martyrs.
And if that wasn't already enough; also currently running at John Ryland's, until 20th December is an exhibition "O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing": Charles Wesley and the Rise of the English Hymn" where you can see the original Wesley and other manuscripts.
