We’ve come to a section of Scripture here that deals with the doctrine of election and the sovereignty of God in Salvation. Now despite the clarity of the words of Jesus here, you will find that most Christians are largely ignorant regarding what the Bible teaches about election and the sovereignty of God, as I was for many years.
Largely due to an absence of Biblical expository preaching in churches today, many people viciously attack Calvinism and the doctrines of God's amazing grace, yet when pressed often reveal that they don't actually know what Calvinism actually teaches.
In this sermon we clear up some of the common misconceptions regarding the sovereignty of God in Salvation, and try to give a clear understanding of what Calvinism does and does not teach.
Also in this sermon, how Muslims and other non-Christians almost always have a wrong idea of what Christianity is, and why it is so important that we take the time to clearly and patiently explain what we believe.
And why the church must speak out against false teachers and false teachings.
