8 things the way of Cain is marked by:
1. An unbelief which results in an empty religious practice.
2. An angry and depressed countenance.
3. A rejection and disregard for what God says.
4. Being jealous of those who are truly Godly and have God's favour and acceptance.
5. A persecution of Godly people and hatred for them
6. A refusal to confess sin and a seared conscience that is willing to lie to God
7. A blindness to God's continual extended mercies with the idea that God has been overly harsh to them and unfair.
8. A departure from the presence of God to go somewhere else.
