Garrett Holthaus of Lake Road Chapel gives an excellent and very practical sermon on the causes and consequences of spiritual drifting. Intro to four part series. "For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away." Hebrews 2:1 Play or download mp3: MUST HEAR: Stopping Spiritual Drift (Introduction) -Garrett Holthaus.

Diego grew up in the Catholic church (note: Roman Catholicism IS NOT Christianity) and only by God's Grace was saved in Christ alone at an older age. He was molested by a Catholic Priest when he was younger. He could of easily blamed God and denied the Lord because of the sins of a human sinner. Many people grow up in the hypocrisy of "religion" and then leave it and become atheists because of the hypocrisy. That will be no excuse in the end when you stand before God as Hebrews 9:27 shows. www.illbehonest.com
HT: Thoughts on the Way. Garrett Holthaus: "I LOVE this recording, because it is a sane and balanced look at what are some admittedly thorny issues (e.g., supernatural healing, mental illness, demon possession, etc.). At the same time, it is also a rebuke to those who refuse to take the supernatural into account when dealing with souls in the midst of preaching and counseling situations. In short, it is ML-J at his best. It doesn't matter what capacity you are serving the Lord in - whether you are an elder, deacon, 8-5 clock puncher, or stay-at-home mom - this recording WILL help you! Listen - learn - apply."
Hudson Taylor said: “Would that God would make hell so real to us that we cannot rest; Heaven so real that we must have men there.”
Zinzendorf said: "I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone. The world is the field and the field is the world; and henceforth that country shall be my home where I can be most used in winning souls for Christ."
Hudson Taylor said: "The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed"
William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army said: "'Not called!' did you say? 'Not heard the call,' I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear Him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters and servants and masters not to come there. Then look Christ in the face -- whose mercy you have professed to obey -- and tell Him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish His mercy to the world. --

Davin Livingstone said: Sympathy is no substitute for action."
Amy Carmichael said: "You can give without loving. But you cannot love without giving.
Charles Spurgeon said: "Someone asked [the question], will the heathen who have never heard the Gospel be saved? [but] It is more a question with me whether we -- who have the Gospel and fail to give it to those who have not -- can be saved."
CT Studd said: "If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."
Jim Elliot said: "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose"
And lastly John Wesley said: "You have one business on Earth - to save souls."

This message is simply excellent and one I will listen to several times: "This is Bob Jennings last message from GCC's 1st Men's Retreat in 2009. There were many tears during and after this message, the Lord truly owned it."
Many false Christians hide behind "Judge not that ye be not judged" to the eternal damnation of their soul. In liberal/evangelyfishcharismatic circles this text is often misused by Pastors and pressed upon their congregation, in an attempt to try and stop anyone questioning their false doctrine and unbiblical practices.
Matthew 7:1 is one of the most misused verses in the bible - So many people will quote it as a defence when other Christians who are concerned about their soul lovingly confront them about their salvation and sin in their life. Is it biblical for Christians to pronounce judgment? Is our cultures present understanding of Matthew 7 truly biblical? Tim Conway answers an Ask Pastor Tim question and responds with the scriptures.
Also examined here "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." (Mt 7:6). There is a time Christian when you are to shake the dust off your feet and not share the Gospel with certain people. How to know when that time is...
If I am a Christian now and was saved out of a Muslim family what should I do if I am still living with them? What happens if I get kicked out of the house because of my faith in Jesus Christ? What do I do when persecution comes? www.illbehonest.com
You are either a child of God or of the devil, which one are you?
1 John 3:8-11 - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 10By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
"The cross of Jesus inspires our love. It would seem impossible to be brought by the Holy Spirit to the foot of the cross, and not feel the inspiration of love. If love begets love, surely a believing apprehension of the amazing, the unparalleled love of Jesus, bending His look of forgiveness upon us from the cross, will thaw our icy hearts into the warmest glow of affection. Behold the source of your love to God! “We love Him because He first loved us.” No throb of love had dilated our hearts had not God first touched them with His own. Believe in the love of God, believe that Jesus loves you, and you shall be sensible of a new-born affection glowing within your breast. You are not called to believe in your love to God, but in God’s love to you! Do not argue, “I cannot love God! I have striven to my uttermost to do so, but have failed in all my endeavors, until in despair I have abandoned the thought and relinquished the attempt.” Be it so- no effort of your own can strike a spark of love to God from your heart. Nor does God demand the task at your hands. All that He requires of you is faith in His love, as embodied and expressed in Jesus Christ to poor sinners. The new and living way He has opened to His reconciled heart, the ample promise He has made to save you, the willingness He has shown to pardon and accept you, the love, the astonishing, the marvellous love, He has exhibited in giving you His beloved Son to die in your stead, are cords by which He would draw your loving heart to Himself. Oh, will not this suffice? Have faith in God’s love. Believe that Jesus loves you, and your heart shall glow with a love in return which will bear it on in a willing obedience and unreserved surrender, in faithful service and patient suffering, enwrapped, consumed amid the flames of its own heaven-inspired and heaven-ascending affection." ~Octavius Winslow
"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" (Rom 6:16)
"Are you yet in ignorance and not turned from darkness unto light? I fear you are under the power of Satan. Do you live in the willful practice of any known sin? Know that you are of the devil. Do you live in strife, or envy or malice? Verily he is your father. O dreadful case! However, Satan may provide his slaves with various pleasures, yet it is but to draw them into endless perdition. The serpent comes with the fruit in its mouth but, as with Eve, you do not see the deadly sting. He that is now your tempter will one day be your tormentor. O, that I could but make you see the master you serve, how merciless a tyrant you gratify; whose pleasure is to set you on to make your perdition and damnation sure, and to heat the furnace hotter and hotter in which you must burn for millions and millions of ages." ~Joseph Alleine, Alarm to the Unconverted.
1Corinthians 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality."
People try to rename sin today to make it acceptable. Adultery is now called having an affair, Sodomy was renamed homosexuality then gay, but as John MacArthur rightly says: "Gay is preposterous as a term describing them. They’re anything but gay. Massive guilt, loneliness, no future, no hope, trying to bury their guilt under some self-justifying campaign, they’re anything but gay. Homosexuality is clinical, sodomite is biblical. That shows it for what it really is, the passion and a lust that is out of control."
"and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." John 8:32
Ayla has cancer and was recently saved by the Grace of God. She went through struggles with homosexuality/bisexuality, and ultimately with her selfish desires until the Lord broke her of self and led her to Christ alone.
"Go forth and be loving, even as your Father in heaven is loving. Let your heart be as large in its creature capacity as God's heart is in its divine. If He has a large heart for you, beware of a small heart for your fellows. If His heart is open, see that your heart is not closed. And since He departs at no sinfulness or ingratitude, at no injury or unworthiness on the part of the recipient of His goodness, be an imitator of God. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." God has so dealt with you, overcoming and winning your evil heart with the goodness and love of His own. Go and do likewise towards all who have injured you, wounded you, and despitefully used you, and so shall you be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Live for God, and act towards others as one who, in a little while, will flee from a world of sin, infirmity, and strife- from all its taintings, woundings, and misunderstandings, and find yourself playing upon the surface, and plunging into the depths of the ocean of love which flows and sparkles beneath and around the throne of God and the Lamb." ~Octavius Winslow
