"And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them" Genesis 27:12
"And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son" Genesis 27:15
When Jacob went to his father for the blessing, his father Isaac, did not recognize him as Jacob the conniver, because his mother had clothed him in his elder brothers garments. Just like God clothes the believer in the righteousness - the merit of the obedient life - of our elder brother Jesus Christ who in all things was made like His brethren. And so God our Father is always ready to and has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
Rebekah, Jacobs mother said to him v.12, "upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice," In order that we can be blessed by God the Father, Christ declared "upon me be thy curse". And the wrath of God for the guilt and penalty of our sin was placed upon Him. He now commands us to "obey my voice." and follow Him.
