The Sin of Self-Pity -Kevin Williams (Gen 4:1-16)

Self-Pity (a state of pitying oneself, especially in an exaggerated or self-indulgent manner) is an addiction, just like addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, self-harm and lust which needs to be broken. It is the character of Cain the first apostate in the Bible (that should alarm you if you are harbouring it), and leads to many more sins. Here in our Friday Bible Study we look at some wonderful insights in Genesis 4 on how to beat this what Oswald Chambers called the worse of all sins.
