Puritan, you're 100% right about Keith's zeal and heart for God and people. That's one of the things I appreciate the most about Keith Green.

I hope I didn't misspeak in my post. I LOVE Keith Green and am so thankful for him. I still listen to his music a lot and he has a strong presence on my ipod. I just bought his new concert DVD that came out recently. So I do appreciate his ministry so very much. And the way he lived his life, taking in street people and discipling them... wow! Have you read his biography? Amazing life he lived!

I just wish he were a Calvinist too, then he'd be perfect! ;)

When I first got saved, I was discipled by Keith Green indirectly through his music. I'd listen to his "Ministry Years" CD's over and over and over.

Looking back now, though, he had some troubling flaws in His Theology. These are on non-essentials for sure, but I don't look up to Keith the way I used to because there are many more solid preachers doctrinally than him.

Still, his heart for Christ is undeniable and his zeal for Christ is contagious.

I think you just need to be a bit discerning to be able to chew the meat and spit out the bones, as we should with any teacher.
